Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using GameSetDrop (“the Service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What GameSetDrop is

GameSetDrop is a community platform for discovering, sharing, and discussing DJ sets, live mixes, radio shows, and festival recordings. We aggregate links to content hosted on third-party platforms (YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud) and provide community features such as voting, playlists, and comments.

We do not host, store, or distribute any audio or video content.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental consent.
• You must provide a valid phone number to register. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• Usernames must not impersonate other individuals or entities, contain offensive or misleading language, or violate any third-party rights.
• You may only maintain one account. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
• We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion.

4. User content and conduct

When you submit a set link, comment, playlist, or any other content, you confirm that:

• The linked content is publicly available and lawfully accessible on the source platform.
• You are not submitting spam, malicious links, or deliberately misleading content.
• Your content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

You must not:

• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that promotes violence.
• Submit links to pirated, unlicensed, or illegally distributed content.
• Artificially inflate votes, play counts, or engagement metrics.
• Scrape or systematically access the Service without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.

You retain ownership of original content you create (comments, journals, playlists). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content as part of the Service.

5. Intellectual property

GameSetDrop does not claim ownership of any DJ sets, music, or recordings linked through the platform. All rights in such content remain with the respective artists, labels, and rights holders.

The GameSetDrop name, logo, interface design, and original code are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without permission.

6. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe a submission infringes your copyright, send a notice to privacy@gamesetdrop.com including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
• The URL of the allegedly infringing content on GameSetDrop.
• Your contact details (name, address, phone, email).
• A good-faith statement that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We will remove infringing content promptly. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

7. Third-party platforms

Content on GameSetDrop is embedded from YouTube, SoundCloud, and Mixcloud. Use of that content is subject to each platform's own terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or legality of third-party content.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GameSetDrop and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or use of the Service shall not exceed £100 (or the equivalent in your local currency).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GameSetDrop and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Modifications

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these terms, at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email (if you have provided one) or via a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have access to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
